Try Again

Well, something else that happened in the past week or so, is that I had a miscarriage. I started spotting and cramping. After talking to different doctors I was told to go to the ER. I did and ended up getting a sonogram that showed that the baby hadn't grown since week 6, and I should have been into week 11. I ended up getting a D and C. I am doing fine now. We were both sad, but i received a priesthood blessing and I am comforted. I know that we will get the opportunity soon to be parents in the future. I know that Heavenly Father knows us and is ever watchful of what we need. Each experience teaches us something and makes us stronger.

Wow, well it has been a while since I have written. Here is an update on the past couple weeks. I had my 22nd Birthday on Dec. 5th. Jay made me breakfast and got me roses. We were in the Christmas Spectacular for the town of Snowflake and we sang a song as the Two Turtle Doves. Friday night didn't go so well, but Saturday went great. After that we went to a Grand Ball and danced and had a lot of fun. I have a massage scheduled for my birthday too so I am way excited( I have never had one yet).
I am posting a couple of videos from the Christmas Spectacular. One is of the 8 maids a milking. My mother-in-law Kristi couldn't be there as well as one other lady, so a couple of teenage boys filled in. It was hilarious. See if you can point them out. The other video is of the 10 Lords a leaping. Jay was in this .

We are going to be parents!

Well, Jay and I are excpecting a baby. I am due July 1st...... I know I have a long way to go. I get to go in on Monday to see the heartbeat. i am way excited about that! Hopefully Jay can come with me. He is so excited to be a daddy. I also just found out one of my cousins is due the same time as me so that should be fun. I am doing just great. The only affects from being pregnant that I have felt are being a little more hungry and tired. I haven't gotten sick yet, Thank Goodness! And I don't even look pregnant yet. But I am definately not complaining.

Our fun weekend

Well, this weekend was pretty excited. I had my first substitute teaching job on Friday. I subed for a special needs class at teh elementary. There were two teachers aides there with me, so they made my job pretty easy. It was fun though, I liked the kids I worked with, even though they were stubborn sometimes.
One of Jay's brothers, Gavin, had a great football game on Friday night. It was a pretty chilly night, and Snowflake was playing against Blue Ridge. They held well but lost in the end. Gavin had at least 5 catches, and ran, and then he made a touchdown, so it was fun to watch.
Saturday we hung out with our friends Kandall McCray and Kristina Beckham. they are getting married Nov. 5th. We had fun going to lunch, playing some basketball, and then going to the haunted corn maze. SCARY!
Today was our primary program and I am the pianist for our ward. They did a great job. I was pleased with thosed little kids and how well they sang. Life is great! Gospel is tru, sky is blue, God loves you, and I do too!!!! Ha Ha, funny little thing my seminary teacher used to tell me.

The will to win is nothing without the will to prepare

I just love this quote. My mother-in-law helped me to find it. It was given this last conference by Sister Dalton.
"I truly believe that one virtuous young woman or young man, led by the Spirit, can change the world, but in order to do so, we must return to virtue. We must engage in strict training. As the marathon runner Juma Ikanga said after winning the New York Marathon, “The will to win is nothing without the will to prepare.”12 Now is the time to prepare by exercising more self-discipline. Now is the time to become “more fit for the kingdom.”13 Now is the time to set our course and focus on the finish. A return to virtue must begin individually in our hearts and in our homes.

I hope we can all take this counsel into our lives and prepare ourselves and our homes for the battles that are raging ahead of us. If we are not prepared, how can we expect to be saved?

This is Jay's beard, He grows it so fast. I encouraged him to try it and see what it was like. I kinda like it!

What a wonderful weekend!

This was a wonderful weekend full of inspiration and learning. I justlove hearing our prophets today and hearing what it is God wants me to change and improve on. To listen to or read any wonderful talk from this past General Conference, follow this link. http://www.lds.org/ then click on General Conference. I know that if we heed to the counsel that has been heard this weekend, we will be able to change and become the sons and daughters that our Savior would have us be. I know that as we follow His great example that we too can have charity and love towards all who we come in contact with.
